I'm 18 years old, I'm 5'5ft and I currently weigh 153 pounds. I'm looking to get down to 126, but I'm a bit unsure how to, any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I've noticed that a lot of my problem is that my actual body isn't fat, I'm just very untoned in certain places (my thighs, my hips, my stomach.) I'd go to a gym, but that isn't an option since I can barely even afford to pay my rent, let alone a gym membership. How can I tone it up?

Thank you and I hope to become friends with you!

  • Well jogging is always a good one.. most important part to weight loss is healthy eating; not dieting.

I hear ya, I wanna do kickboxing classes so bad but rent and food is like all my money!

What I do is jogging, alot of AB workouts, squats at home and I use some 5lb dumbbells for some weight excercises.
Theres alot of stuff you can do at home even just to keep your heart rate up!! (Frog jumps are amazing lol)

I've been using the 30 Day Shred DVD since I too would love to go to the gym but cannot come close to affording it. So far the DVD seems to provide a good workout in a condensed period of time (which is nice too). I'm down 10 lbs so far and am one month in to using this site and about 2 weeks into using the DVD! Hoping to keep up the weight loss and not plateau as I've still got a LOT to go...

    Height: 5' 11"
    Starting: 230 lbs
    Current: 220 lbs
    Goal: 150 lbs

I second the healthy eating, maybe you could walk where you need to go or borrow a friends bike. A bike ride will burn lots of calories as well as tone the bum and thighs, but most of all you will enjoy yourself.
    Good Luck
