Basic Stir Fry Sauce

Ingredients: Servings:4

4 teaspoons cornstarch
2/3 cup water (or chicken or beef broth, if desired)
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 teaspoons sugar (or brown sugar)

Directions:Prep Time: 2 minsTotal Time: 7 mins

1 Whisk all ingredients together until smooth.
2 Add to stir fry just at the end, stirring well into the dish and let sauce come to a bubble.
3 Let simmer until sauce has thickened, then serve.

    My current favorite is really easy too . . . throw the following in a blender and add to your stir fry in the last 2 minutes of cooking . . .

    1/2 c fresh pineapple
    3 cloves garlic
    3 TBSP low sodium soya sauce

    Yep, it is that easy and really tasty!

    I like to use the Newman's Own low fat sesame ginger dressing as a stir fry sauce...It is quick and convenient and has 35 calories for 2 tbs.
