Bowling counts as exercise?!

So I have to do this bowling thing tonight. I looked it up and it's like 100 calories per half hour. But what if you really suck at it?! Does it still count?! Lol! My "form" consists of chucking the damn thing down the alley with all the grace of a sumo ballerina! I can throw a strike followed by a gutter ball with alarming regularity...ugh, just venting cuz I REALLY don't wanna do this but I promised... Maybe I can call in sick...

i went bowling last night... i check the "cal burned" before I went and I have strong doubts about whether it really burns that many calories but I had fun either way :)

    erm, no
  • Remember that would be 30 min. bowling total. Not counting the time you spend sitting, waiting for your turn :)
  • Of course, bowling counts. You're picking up a weight. You're moving about. Why wouldn't it count as exercise? Just because you're not constantly moving and probably won't work up a sweat? So what! Have fun with it. I suck at it too. If I break 100 points, it's a miracle.

Since you've admitted you're not a competitive bowler, goof around while you're in the spotlight. Dance around a bit & give yourself a funny/sexy/outrageous/whatever approach. Give it a little extra oomph to burn more calories.

I knew you were cruel! even if I did the freaking bowling for 30 straight minutes I could have, what? 1 MGD 64??! That shouldn't even count as an adult beverage! :explode:
  • My sorority held a Bowling Rush event, and while it didn't burn a ton of calories, it burned some. Sure got my heart rate going lol!!!
