Hi, I use the treadmill 5 days a week. On mondays and fridays I do an intense workout of 1,050 calories on incline 12 at 3.5 mph for 1 hour and the other days I do 6.0 incline at 3.5 mph that usually burns me 725 cal for 1 hour. Also, I do zumba during the week. My question was is this enough workouts to lose weight?? I want your input please.

Impossible to answer without comparing your calories burnt to calories eaten. If you're tracking what you eat and are ending up with a calorie deficit, you'll lose weight. Unless you're gorging though, it sounds like plenty of exercise to me. The only thing I would suggest is that your workouts are a little heavily geared to the treadmill. I'd vary it a bit by adding in some strength training. Sounds like you're somewhere that offers classes so how about a body pump class? Or for more cardio, how about a step class or spin?0

Depends what you eat... You can lose weight not working out if you eat responsibly, or gain weight if you eat back your calories and more. Pretty inspiring work out regime though!!!!0

Weight loss is a combination of exercise and diet control.......so it depends on what you are eating.0

Im always scared Im not eating enough calories because I also sometimes workout twice a day once in the morning and once at night0

Do you use the MFP food tracker? If you put in all your food and exercise you will be able to tell immediately if you are getting enough calories. If you are working out so much, you will need to eat some extra. When I was training hard (with a schedule like yours) I had to eat a lot extra or I couldn't even stay awake the whole day due to exhaustion but when I upped the food, I had no problem. I didn't actually lose weight based on the scale but in just a couple of months I'd dropped two dress sizes. I needed to eat back some of those calories to fuel all those new muscles I was building.0

How is your weight loss going? Are you losing weight steadly? If you are, then you are probably doing everything right. I am no expert but I have heard that if your net calories for the day go under 1200 for too long, your body will go into starvation mode and it will be harder to lose the weight.0

There comes a point though when you are working out too much, and your body goes into the mode where it counteracts the workout you just did. So be careful of that. Eat the correct amount of calories, workout at a decent rate and you should be good to go. But also remember that there will be times when your body doesn't lose weight and you may be losing inches or gaining muscle, so don't get discouraged.0
