Although I have said I think drinking that much water shouldnt be a problem, it does seem like awful lot of water your drinking. I mean are you sure its 10-15 16oz bottles? Thats like 30 liters of water. It almost seems like how can you even fit that much in your day. You must be in the bathroom every 5 minutes.

Your math is a little off. One liter is about 34 ounces, so two bottles of the OPs water is about a liter. She is consuming between 5 and 8 liters of water per day.

You might have been purposely exaggerating, but 10-15 16 oz bottle is only 4.7 to 7.1 litres. Yes, it's a lot - but not more than the body is capable of processing, assuming it's spread out over the course of the day. That's about 300-450 ml (about 10-15 oz) every hour, if you are awake for 16 hours... Most people could do that easily, if they reminded themselves to drink 1-2 cups an hour all day.

Yeah I was being a tad bit sarcastic but like you guys are saying, what I have been trying to say, is that its not that big of a deal.

  • Great post - this is exactly right... as long as you spread the water out, you can drink a very large amount over the course of a day! The only exceptions (for adults) are marathon runners and other similar exercise-situations, because when doing such lengthy, intense exercise the kidneys slow down the rate at which they process water and you have to be more careful to make sure you maintain the property water/sodium balance. That said, most people are never in such a situation and simply have to make sure they're not drinking a TON all at one time.
What they said....take the time to read it. I drink 300+ everyday without issue. If you're already convinced you know the answer, I'm not sure why you even posted the topic.
