under calorie goal

What is better? being very under your calorie goal or being at your calorie goal? I know this may sound a little stupid, but I have heard that eating too few calories can be bad... can someone help?

    MFP already configures your calorie goal based on a proper deficit to lose weight. It's important to try to stay close to the calorie goal in order to make sure your body gets enough fuel.
