No sweets for 40 days. Anyone in?

Hi, I've decided to participate in Lent this year. I'm forgoing sweets (except fruits and honey in my oatmeal). Is there anyone out there doing something similar or have done this in the past? I'm super addicted to sugar so this should be difficult, especially at first.

    I'm in. No sugar/no fake sugar/no syrup/no diet pop/no candy/no chocolate/no crap at all. Why not? I'm tired of being less than I can be.

    That would not be fair.. i am diabetic and can't anyone.. i am giving up beer.. Whos in on that?

    I gave up chocolate....I give up something every year and it's always for the best and for the glory of Him!

    OK, I've thought about this. Here's a list of the sweets that I'm including:

    sugar
    all fake sugars
    all junk food
    all pop/diet pop
    chocolate
    grains (wheat, corn, rice)

    what I still will eat:
    whey protein powder (which has sugar substitutes)
    xtend workout supplement (same)

    I'm all in for this. Feel free to join me if you want results.

    check the ingredients in your chips - sugar will probably be 5-6th down the list :)

  • It starts today, ends Easter Sunday. Good luck. I'm gonna try to journal or spend a quiet moment If I feel the need to make a mad dash to the grocery store for pastries.

    Im gonna try this, but I am diabetic, so I am keeping the fake sugars (sweet n low) just getting rid of the real stuff :)
