p90x kenpo

I did one week of p90x, but ended up going on vacation for a week, so I decided to restart. Anyway, my boyfriend hates Kenpo and wants to substitute plyo, cardio x, or yoga for the kenpo. Do you think this will be okay? I really didn't care for it either. Plus, we don't have a very big space to work with and kenpo seemed to require more.

That's sad. The Kenpo is my favorite one. But, yes, I have to adjust my living room for the kicks. Especially when you have to do the front, side, back combo.
I could see doing plyometrics or cardio as a sub, but yoga isn't taxing on your body in the same way as the Kenpo at all. I know the yoga in P90X isn't the typical light stretching yoga, but it's still not high intensity stuff.0 -
yea it should be fine. i didnt like yoga so i usually substituted with cardio x.. remember do your best and forget the rest.. thats all that matters. in the end i lost 25 lbs doing p90x0

I don't like it either. I usually substitute with something from Insanity or Cardio X. Plyo might not be the best substitute because it does work your legs pretty hard and the kenpo day is right after legs and back I think.0

Thanks, guys! We will see how it works this week after substituting.0

Kenpo is by far my least favorite P90X workout. In my first round of P90X I substitute for it often. I'd run, swim, etc. in its place.
I think the important thing is to get some good cardio in those days.
I may sub in some Insanity workouts or running for it this time as I just started P90X again on 3/5, but I'm going to try Kenpo again (tomorrow) and see how I like it this time.0
