Wow, I just made this for lunch and it was amazing. I love pan pizza.
I used:
one village hearth light Italiano bun
1/4 cup 2% mozzarella Cheese
8 slices of turkey pepperoni
1/8 cup pizza sauce
1/2 TBSP of coconut oil
I spread the oil on the back of the bun and pan fried it all put together, sauce, cheese and pepperoni and pre-heated the oven to 350.
Once the back of the bun was golden brown, I put them on a pan and placed them in the oven for 5 minutes, or until the cheese melted.
It's not quite Pizza Hut Pan Pizza, but it had the awesome golden, crunchy crust, and the buns are thicker like the pan crust.

24 carbs
16 fat (mostly from coconut oil, which is very healthy)
18 grams of protein
8 grams of fiber
Enjoy!

Question:
did you use the top & bottom of the bun-- thus two pieces?
Sounds yummie and this would be much better pizza for my kids too. Thx. :glasses:0 -
so the toppings are on them in the pan?
Yeah I did, it helped the 2% cheese melt really well once I put it in the oven.
Yeah I used both sides of the bun, the bottom bun was the best crust, so next time I may just make two bottoms.0 -
