I'm new and need motivation

Hi Everyone,

My name is Mona and I'm new here and need motivation. I have 35 pounds to loose to reach my goal. Every where online says my weight should be around 115 pounds but I really don't think I will ever get down that far. I'm big boned. I have been really happy at 150 pounds but I let myself get unmotivatied and put on alot of weight. So far since January I have lost 21 pounds :).

I have been using myfitnesspal for about a week now and it is a really big help. I know I gain if I don't track my food.

  • I agree, I never realized how many calories I was consuming until I joined MFP. Now I know why I wasn't losing weight before MFP.GL!
  • Congratulations on your weight loss so far. It looks like we have around the same goals! MPF has helped me unbelievably. if it wasnt for the community, I would have given up a long time ago!

    Welcome aboard, Mona! In my humble opinion, you have definitely come to the right place. There is much assistance and motivation to be found here! Congratulations on your success so far and just know this... it WILL work if you WORK IT!! :)

    Welcome....I can agree. I should be around 130-140, but made my goal 160. I just want to wear size 12's again.

    Welcome Mona. I am fairly new also. I signed into mfp in late feb. but did'nt actually start logging in my weight and tracking my food until last sat.. I really like this site and have told friends and family about it. It really helps me to track what i eat and see in black and white how many calories i take in! I have also been exercising. I have always been one to exercise, but have been really pushing myself to do more :) I have been doing really good at it for a week whoo hooo :) I am hoping to keep that motivation going. I am doing jillian michaels 6 week abs dvd, it's an awesome workout and i do my treadmill after that with jillian again. Good luck to you. We all need motivation :) You can do it. I just keep thinking about how my jeans and shorts will fit me so much better, and that helps keep me motivated, so far!! lol Again good luck to you.
