Caloires burned replacing a garage door opener?

This morning when I went to leave for work, hit the garage door opener - grrrrrrr but no movement. My 2 year old grandson took his toll pushing the buttons. So this evening, I spent about three hours replacing it. Worked up a pretty good sweat.
Soooo how many calories did I burn? I want credit for it!!!

I think there's a category for household repairs or something. I've used the cleaning and gardening categories for work that takes a while and goes above and beyond, because I listed myself as 'sedentary'.
Personally, I want to know how many I get for bathing two squirmy border collies, trimming the cat's nails, giving the cat a pill (administer, rinse, repeat), and so forth. Or maybe for serving as a walking throne (vertical and bent over positions) for a cat with a bloated sense of importance!0 -
LOL well MFP says 180 minutes of gardening would be 1576 calories!! No way!! I'm gonna give myself 100 calories.0

its at least 500 if you broke a sweat, I went to the driving range earlier and burned 500+ in 90 mins0

I always have questions like that for some of the odd things I do (I also have wiggly herding dogs!) lol!
I bet you were up and down on that ladder a bunch, but yes, 1576 does seem over the top!
Oh, and bravo for knowing how to fix that, I would have spent a mere 5 calories dialing up a repair man
and much more $$ paying for it!0 -

When I input gardening or housework, I usually cut the minutes in about half, in order to give myself what I suspect is a much more accurate reading.0 -
wouldnt give yourself much more than 200 to be honest. most of your time would be spent standing around sorting stuff out, putting screws in etc. not exactly strenuous! not like gardening or driving golf balls!
but there would be a little bit of a "workout" for sure.0 -
LOL - yeah I was up and down the ladder quite a bit. And btw - after several trips up and down that ladder I realized it felt GREAT realizaing that I was able to do it without getting winded - and felt much more confident while on the upper steps. My workouts paid off a bit!0
