Could someone be kind enough and explain to me what it is, and how it works. I would like to purchase one, with the calorie counting, so i know exactly how many cals. I am burning everytime I exercise. I go to Curves Womens gym, and they do not have the Curves Smart program. When I log on here, it is telling me I am burning about 190 every 30 minutes. I mean, thats a good amount, but for some reason.. I REALLY feel like im burning at least 230 a workout. For anyone who is an expert from Curves, or calorie counting. I am 16 years old, 5'2 and 171 pounds. (yes dont look my age)

I am not an expert by any means, but I have been using the HR monitor for awhile and I really recommend it.
I have the POLAR F6. It comes with a watch, and a strap (which is the wireless transmitter of your heart rate) that goes around your chest.
I feel like it seems to be pretty accurate, and I know the calorie count goes down or up based on how hard I pushed myself in class (I do Jazzercise).
I paid about $100.00 a year or two ago.0 -
I just got a polar FT4 works great....I use to for the pool, strengthening and exercise. It comes with a band you put around your chest and then a watch....easy to operate and costs around $1000

Personally, I have a simple Timex chest strap/watch monitor, try to maintain a fairly consistent heartrate during whatever exercise I'm doing, and use this website (http://www.braydenwm.com/calburn.htm) to calculate.0
