You could always use your name in the title or the name of a loved one:
Shannon's Sub Shop
I thought of these: One Stop Subs, Subs Express
What kind of decor will you have? If you have a special theme in mind, you can always tie that in too.
Naming businesses are always so much fun! But it really does take a lot of thought.

My Wife's Place (let your husband get all the bills and you get all the glory!)
or
The BOX Shop (you could design cute little boxes to serve all your sandwiches in)
Friends of ours are opening a family restaurant and the name is going to be "Moose Creek Grille" (we live in Maine:)
Best of luck to you!!0 -
The Food *kitten*...hee hee....0

Whatever the name, be sure to include at least one amazing, yummy and HEALTHY sandwich on your menu (I like to use pesto instead of mayo on mine) and include the calorie listings so folks like us can get lunch at your store every day and stay on track.
I so agree with this comment! We love to use hummus on our sandwiches. I personally like open faced sandwiches, and make my own specialty breads, and use spinach or other greens.....Build your own unique ones, and make them special!
I actually like the name " the Lunchbox" or "More than Fuel". Idea " Create an acronym representing your products"! Best wishes to you! Sounds fun!0 -
Bewiched. I saw it on another site and thought it was cute.

In small towns, naming a resturant in conjunction with the local school mascot works really well. For example, our town has a returant called the Eagle's Nest.0

The Blind
Here in the Midwest we tend to name things after our grandmothers...
Grannies Slamin Sammies!
Grandma's Kitchen Door (Always Open)
When I lived out in the Rockies I noticed they liked to name things with the local wildlife in mind..
The Golden Burro
The Hungy Hippo
The Brown Burro (burro's seem to come in lots of colors)
My favorite name if I had a stop and squat eattery would be "The Third Place" It's from Ray Oldenburg's book The Great Good Place. Oldenburg calls one's "first place" the home and those that one lives with. The "second place" is the workplace — where people may actually spend most of their time. Third places, then, are "anchors" of community life and facilitate and foster broader, more creative interaction. All societies already have informal meeting places; what is new in modern times is the intentionality of seeking them out as vital to current societal needs. Oldenburg suggests these hallmarks of a true "third place": free or inexpensive; food and drink, while not essential, are important; highly accessible: proximate for many (walking distance); involve regulars – those who habitually congregate there; welcoming and comfortable; both new friends and old should be found there.
Have fun with it and congrats on such a wonderful endevor!0 -

We used to have a "Snack Shack" in our town, and folks still talk about it. Very similar idea to what you are planning to run.
