What is your biggest food obstacle?

Thank god i don't have a sweet tooth per say, never have... my weakness is vodka, steak, & cheeseburgers. I have drastically changed my diet but the one thing thats killing me is my coffee creamer and i havn't given it up. I'm fighting an inner battle with that one.
Same here, I tried to change my coffee creamer but it is just not the same0 -
rice i cant eat small portions of rice i'd rather not eat any rice than just 4 tablespoons lol0

Cheese & Wine. I love it and its a big weakness of mine. I used to try not eating it at all but then used to binge on it when I did have some. Goes down lovely with nice red wine....... I eat in moderation now and if I drink wine I count it as part of my calorie allowance...0

Mmmm...I absolutely adore a hunk of Stilton and a glass (or three) of red wine.0 -
My biggest obstacle is my Husband!! He doesn't cook... full stop. He can just about manage beans on toast lol.
The days I feel really up against it is when I am tired or grumpy and still have to make 2 meals, 1 for 'Mr Skinny' and one for me
There is never a time when he offers to cook just because he can't do it (seriously he has tried and it has always been completely inedible!)
Also Crisps (potato chips) I love them... I can eat bags on end. Coca Cola used to be a huge part of my day but I cut that out and limit myself, if I ever do have it, to 1 diet coke per day (rather than a 2 litre bottle of 'Fat Coke')

Carbs definitely carbs- crisps of all varieties, potato chips, rice, pasta and bread.... love them all!0

Kraft mac & cheese. I had not had it in about 10 years. My granddaughter was with me this weekend. When she comes to visit we go to the "go-shee" store and I always let her choose one of her favorite meals to have once during her visit. She choose Kraft mac&cheese and hot dogs.. ARGH.. I made the mistake of tasting it and ended up eating a huge bowl of it. There is some comfort connection I have with the salty fake cheese taste it has. I was at the store this morning picking up my Smart Water and was headed to the produce section to grab my sweet potato when BAM! right smack in the middle of the aisle was a display of those cute little single serve bowls! My mouth started to instantly water. After standing there debating I tossed one in my cart. On the way home I was stewing on my purchase and remembered something I read in a book I bought. It said something on the lines of " look at the people around you in the store. The happy, healthy, perky, bright-eyed people usually do not have processed junk in their carts." That did the trick... I threw the cute little bowl up into the back of my highest cupboard, figuring it would be too much of a hassle to get it back down. Now I think I will cook it up and quickly pour it into my Irish Wolfhounds bowl as a treat for her because I'm pretty sure that's a bowl I won't be tempted to lick! lol0

Chips- I used to sit down and eat a whole bag watching TV. I don't even bring them into the house.
Pizza and Burgers. It was too easy of meal. I haven't touched either in 60 days until this week. I had my first piece of pizza this week because work paid for lunch. I surprised myself by only having two pieces and chose the cheese only option.
Diet Soda- Yes diet- I used to drink two or three cans a day. After reading a few postings on diet soda on MFP I decided to stop drinking it. I have been clean for three weeks.0 -
This is easy. Baked goods. And drink wise? BEER. mmmmm beer.0

Mine is pizza and ranch! Now i try to limit them and if i do eat them i workout extra and drink lots of water, probably still not good that i eat pizza but i cant help it. With the ranch on a recommendation from someone on here i got Bolthouse yogurt ranch which has half the calories as normal ranch and tastes just as good.0

Yum....Snickers and Mountain Dew... the staples of my teenage years! And I never gained an ounce. Now I see someone else eat one and I feel my waistline expand!0

Beer is my weakness. Cheese is my other obstacle - I could eat a whole block in one sitting but know better not to do so.0

Anything with chocolate really, especially if it's got the whole savoury/sweet thing going on. So like pastry with chocolate, chocolate with sea salt, pies. Pain au chocolat are my biggest downfall, I don't care how much weight I have to lose I will never give up my pain au chocolat!0

India Pale Ale. As someone else said, I cringe when I document those calories.
I think one of my food obstacles is having to feed the family. If it were just me, I'd have a bowl of soup supper. But I need to feed my husband, 2 sons (18 and 21 years old) and 1 daughter (23 years old). These people are physically active and hungry at the end of the day. And the 18 years old is underweight and on the track team, I really need to make sure he gets calories.
So. That's it. Planning, preparing, and presenting dinner to my family every night is difficult.0 -
Soda! I seem to always fall when it comes to soda, but this time I'm standing my ground!!! Going to drink it, but only in moderation like 1-2 per day!!!0

I keep telling myself that I need to give it up, but I honestly don't want to. I drink diet, so there's no calories, but I know it's not good for me.0 -
The unhealthy thing I most crave is crisps. I think it's the salt. I have never liked sweet things. It used to be bread, but that doesn't react well with me these days. So now it's crisps. I cave in every 2 weeks or so.0

Where to start... French Fries, especially from Red Robin. I haven't given them up completely, but I'm trying to. Candy; Skittles, Starbursts, licorice, Hot Tamales, Jr. Mints, Reeses, peanut M & M's- just to name a few. Brownies, chips, baquettes from the bakery, Genoa salami.0

Large bags of anything chocolate. I can handle it if I have a fun size pack, I eat it, I'm good. But if you have the big bag meant for candy dishes of anything, M&M's, hershey's kisses, Peanut butter cups, you name it, I'll over do it.0

Carbs. Period. Refined carbs can ruin my diet in seconds. But people keep encouraging me to give up all carbs - wheat, rice, potatoes, etc. I think it would help me lose, but I'm afraid to give up the good carbs, because I'll get to craving them, and give in to the refined ones. AAAHHHH!!!!
Keep your healthy carbs in your diet just eat them for breakfast and/or lunch. Its your bodies source of energy so you need it to help you loose weight as long as you dont over do them0
