Subbing Oil and Butter?

I have recently started subbing nonfat plain yogurt for butter and oils in my recipes, and although I love the substitution and the difference it makes, my husband seems to think that everything I cook lately has a sweet taste to it. I can't tell a difference, but I'm also addicted to diet cokes :grumble: Enchiladas shouldn't be sweet.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for non-sweet, low sodium oil and butter substitutions????
, so I'm used to the nutri-sweet taste. Tonight we had Chicken and sour cream enchiladas, only 235 calories I might add, I loved it and was amazed at how good it turned out, but he said "I'ts good, it's just sweet." Does anyone have any other suggestions for non-sweet, low sodium oil and butter substitutions????

I do the same and LOVE using plain yogurt, especially greek style. I always use unsweetened plain yogurt though... Maybe you have been using one with sweetner in it?0

Expeller pressed coconut oil rocks!
There's no coconut taste or smell, but it is great for baking and frying.

When I bake, I almost always substitute applesauce for any of the fat (butter, oil, etc). Makes a huge difference in the calorie and fat content and no difference in taste.0

Try nonfat Fage Greek yogurt. It is not sweet, very low in sugar and nice and thick like a sour cream. I use it in place of sour cream and mayonaise in everything. Also I bake and cook with it using it to make sauces and more, not to mention I like to eat it with a few berries on top........my absolute favorite way to enjoy this yogurt is with a little drizzle of honey on top, but lately I have been skipping the honey to keep my sugars way down, lol. Just make sure that whatever yogurt (but greek is thicker and better tasting, in my opinion) you choose you read the label and make sure the sugar count is low, and that they do not add any additional sugars to the container. Oh yes, and try to get off those diet sodas luv, they are killers, literally.........they also block those receptors in your brain that naturally tell you when you should be full, and make you crave sweets, leaving you unsatisfied all the time. Are you on my facebook page yet? I had posted quite a few articles about the dangers of soda. My boyfriend drinks them all the time, I am still working on him as well, lol.0
