i am 5 foot 3 and my max is supposed to be 135. so i think your 135 is too low, you are a woman not a twig. you need some curves. you don't need to look like a boy and you need body fat to protect your organs.
Utterly ridiculous. I'm almost 5'9" and weighed 138 a couple of years ago and looked great, fit but not super skinny. You cannot say something so ignorant, especially when that weight is in the normal BMI range for her height.0 -
I'm 5-7 and I weight 128 as of now. I really think I still have a couple of lbs to lose in my hips but I think most of that will come with toning over time. I would say anything around of slightly below 130 is pretty lean. I'm hoping to just tone up from here on out. I noticed that once I got below 130, it is almost impossible for me to maintain that low of a weight unless I stick to my diet and exercise ALL THE TIME!!!
Everyone is different though, so 130 may be too low for you, I would do the BMI calculator or even get assessed by a doctor so it's more accurate.0 -
I'm 5'8 and my goal is 130, I'm 131 at the moment so looking to switch to maintenance next week. I think it depends alot on how you feel and your bone structure, mine is quite small and I don't see myself as too skinny, yet for some people they might feel awful at that weight, like they'd gone too far. I've also seen several people in 160's who are really toned and slim and look more like 140.
I started at 150 but because I hadn't been in the 30's for a while my original goal was 140 so I could see how I felt once I reached that and whether I wanted to lose a bit more.0 -
I would like to be between 128 and 135 (low end of bmi) so I have similar goals to you.0
-
I'm 5 ft 7.5 inches. My goal is 160 - but that may change once I get there. 135 sounds tiny to me, but that's probably b/c I'm so big and have been for a long time! I can remember in high school weighing 150 and wishing I weighed about 20 to 25 pounds less!!Boy I'd kill to have that body back now! Anyhoo- its hard to tell exactly where you will need your final goal to be at this point b/c of variances with muscle and/or body fat distribution etc. And you can always tweak your goal once you get close if you think you need to add/subtract.0

I'm 5'8". I want to look like Tina Fey, and if I've figured it out right I'd need to be about 144 for that. I'm sticking with 160 for now to see how my curves look with it.0
-
I'm 5'7". I was 135 at high school graduation and 145 at college graduation. My goal is 130-135. That's a reasonable goal based on my weight in the past (high school graduation was just 5 years ago).0

I am 5' 7" I am shooting for 145 but I might go down to 135 if I seem to be doing well and not hitting plateaus and such. BUT if I get to like 150-155 and are pretty toned and my belly pouch is gone then I am stopping. I just want to have a healthy BMI.0

Thanks for the great responses! i've heard everything from from 110-160 lbs. So here's what I was thinking... at my heighest weight i was 163 and I was exhausted all the time and eating terribly. So I know that is too heavy for my frame. I have also been 110 (back in high school) and it was exhausting as well, in a different way. Definitely too light for my frame.
So i think i am just going to eat healthy/exercise and see what I weigh when i feel great and have lots of energy. 135 seems like a good number to work towards based on what most of you are saying.
thank you!!! & feel free to add me as a friend if we aren't already!

I am 5'6.5" and weighed in today at 124lbs. I would like to get to 120lbs. I still have thigh/butt fat that needs to go. I'm quite small framed so therefore I should likely be on the lower end of the healthy weight spectrum.0
-
I'm 5"7' and am aiming for 120. I was most comfortable and healthy at that weight.0

I'm 5'7" and my goal is between 130 and 135. I have a small frame but a lot of muscle, from P90X, so I am not sure when I will stop. Most calculators which take frame size into account say I should be between 120 and 135, but I do think 120 is too small for me. I am at 143 right now, and I started at 250.0
-
Just to add: My body wants to naturally stay around 124 but I was eating Pretty Darn Bad to get this high up in my weight without exercise. As long as I keep up exercise I'm normally able to easily maintain mid to low 120s while eating healthy all day. I have very long limbs/torso along with a small frame in general. I also gain and lose weight all over so I able to remain an american eagle size 4 at 120 as well as 135.0

I'm 5'7 ish...probably a little shorter now that I'm older :-(
I just reached 135 from 158.........I feel a lot better, and my clothes fit good, but i still want to lose a little more on the tummy.
I think you will know how far to go by looking at your body.......I'm not in a huge hurry to lose more, but I think i will try to slowly lose about 5 -10 more pounds.0 -
Hi!
I'm 5'7 and my goal weight is 140. When I get there though I may swing for those last few pounds (: My lowest weight was 138 (that I know of) but when I was in my teens, but I had a good amount of muscle ( I was a figure skater). Soooo We will see how 140 looks on me as an adult.
I think 135 is a realistic goal. But def do what feels/looks right to you.
Good luck!0 -
I am also 5'7 and my goal weight is 135.0
-
I am 5'9 and 185lbs now. In school I was the tomboy and always was the tough girl. -broad shoulders. At (almost) 40 I still am the girl with muscle. My goal weight would be around 160-150lbs.0
-
Im 5 8' and 150 is pretty trim for me...depends on your bone structure and muscle mass.0
-
My goal weight is 175 and I'm 5'8", but I have always had a lot of muscle and bigger bone structure (no it's not an excuse for being fat lol).
Ha! Me too! But my goal weight is around 150
I hate being bigger boned!0 -
I'm aiming for a well-toned 150, I think I will wear about a size 6 if I'm toned at that weight. If I'm not toned, then it will probably be about a size 8 - 10.0
-
I'm 5'8.5" and my goal is 150. I have never seen that as adult woman so I dont even know what that would look like. I'm 170.0 right now, down over 30#, and I think the next 20 is attainable. I just want to look in the mirror and be happy. I dont know what that # on the scale will be though! I'm enjoying this journey!0
-
I'm 5'7 currently 133lbs and I wear a size four. I Feel comfortable in my clothes but would like to lose a couple more pounds/tone up to feel better in a bathingsuit!!!! So 135 is a good goal I think0
-
5'7-3/4" My goal eventually is 152-155. We'll see!0
-
I'm 5' 7" on the nose and with a large frame I should be between 143-163.
So of course I like curves and am aiming for 165... hell at 170 I'd be flat out excited!0 -
Hi
I'm 5'8" and I just reached my goal weight of 135. I'm happy with how I look at this weight, but it's seems like everybody else thought that I look better in my 140's. Now that I'm in the 130's I'm starting to be told that I'm a little too skinny, and I need to "get some meat on my bones". However, I think that if you have a smaller bone structure then this weight would look great, because my bone structure is very large. Anyways, I think that you should go to whatever weight makes you feel good.0 -
I'm like 5'8''-5'9''ish and my natural weight is 150 (my starting weight's higher because I put on like 6 pounds)
My goal's 135 as well.
From there I'm going to see though. I refuse to lose my curves, but if I can get down some more, I will (I'm naturally really curvy, so I hope this will still hold true at a lower bmi)0 -
I'm about 5'9" & my 1st goal weight is 135. I do plan on changing my goal to 130 though, just to see how it looks on me. My hubby doesn't want me to get lower than 135, he thinks I'll be TOO skinny but it's just 5 more pounds & if I do look too skinny, the way I eat, it won't take long for me to gain the 5 pounds back. LOL!
Good luck & happy eating!0
