Heather, I think that's huge! It's the little victories that win the war, right?

We got serious icing last night, and can't drive at all. Had to walk over to take care of Sully this morning (it's about 3/4 of a mile). Slippery! But Sully was fine and jogging around his paddock waiting for his oats and hay. He never even slipped. I guess I really didn't know how capable horses can be in ice. He's kind of a clutz under the best of conditions, so I worried about him all night. :ohwell: Apparently it was unjustified!

Glad to hear Sully did fine with the ice. If only we were as sure-footed as our equine friends...

Jumping in the Horsey people blog! I grew up on an appaloosa breeding farm, shortly after my mom passed away I stayed away from horses for almost five years at it was just too painful for me to be around them. Two years ago by strange circumstance I got back into riding, and swiftly fell passionately in love again! I had experienced some bad falls before my mom had died, and my confidence was really really low, but I leased a number of different Confidence Building school masters to get my confidence up again. I started taking lessons with a dressage coach, with the hopes that doing some intexive work on my seat would help prevent me from becoming a human lawn dart as I had before. Having come from a western background and a mother who was into reigning, I was very surprised that I loved everything about dressage. I still need to work on my confidence, but I've been fortunate enough to be riding consistently for the last two years. I don't think that anyone could pry me away from horses now, I'm a lifer

Autie: Welcome back to the "horsey world!" I'm sorry to hear about your loss and long break from horses but hopefully you won't leave them behind again. Best of luck to you on your weight loss journey. Feel free to friend me.
