I don't watch it as much as I used to, but I still love anime. Some of my favorites:

* Cowboy Bebop
* Slayers

* Steel Angel Kurumi
* Trigun

* Irresponsible Captain Tylor
* Serial Experiments Lain
And even though it's a manga, not an anime, I've recently fallen in love with Yotsuba!&.0 -
I used to watch it all the time but I've had a hard time getting my husband into it because I want him to see things from the beginning but it's hard to catch the start of a series on Adult Swim. But, he's totally interested. We both like Fullmetal Alchemist and Ghost in the Shell. I also like Bleach, InuYasha, Mushi-Shi, Hell Girl, Cowboy Bepop, One Piece, and some others I can't think of right now.0

My dear wife, its not really an understanding when your spouse declares their undying love and devotion to a cartoon. Normally I would threaten the interlopers life, but I'm afraid I'm not match for the humanoid typhoon. Here's an understanding, if you take Vash, I'll take the 60 billion double dollar reward. Until then, you'll have to keep slogging on with your normal human husband!

sssooooo I am a HEEEUUUUUGGGGEEE anime nerd.
and I bought My Hime on a whim like 5 maybe 6 years ago. NEVER got the last of the series! Here's the crazy thing... its hands down my favorite anime. I've watched it a million times. I think I might have just been totally afraid of how the ending would play out. so I never bought the last disc.
FInally, I got MyHime ZOtome and couldn't watch it without finishing the first set. so i bought it. and cried through all three episodes of the last disc!! so yeah. thats my fave.

FLCL is definitely in my top five. I LOVEEEE The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, I was wondering if anyone was going to mention it. It's seriously too funny!
I have a ton of the "comics" of Evangelion, I love them so much I have them in sleeves to keep them in mint condition. I also love the manga for FLCL though I don't know which I like more, the manga or the anime. I have some of the Cowboy Bebop manga but I definitely prefer the anime - it's impossible not to like it more when you factor in the INCREDIBLE soundtrack.
I'm not ashamed to admit that Sailor Moon is one of my all-time favorites - I read the entire manga and watched the entire series (more then once). It holds a special place in my heart since it was my first anime.
Serial Experiments Lain is amazing, love Trigun (it's on Netflix instant queue now! Score!)... uhm, others off the top of my head would be Lupin the Third, Case Closed and Big O.
Movie wise, a great anime thriller is Perfect Blue. Definitely one of my favorite anime movies, though of course Miyazaki is the lord of anime films.0 -
