I have cottage cheese every morning! I have it (1/4 cup) with berries usually (black, raspberries or blue) and a small yogurt all mixed up together. Sometimes I use frozen berries too. And Pineapple is yummy too. I sometimes add in 1/3 cup of all bran buds for a crunch. I find protein difficult to eat in the am, so this works for me.
Remember all cottage cheeses are not equal in taste! I like breakstones (USA) and Dairyland in Ontario, Canada.

    1/2 C Yougurt
    1/3 C Cottage Cheese
1 C Berries -- Blueberries & Raspberries are best anti-oxidants but I buy whatever is in season - Currently Strawberries in FL
1/4 C Applesauce -- good sweetener choice anytime it will fit the recipe
1 T Slivered Almonds -- for needed fat that is clean & healthy
1/2 t each Nutmeg & Cinnamon (or to taste)

Adjust the amounts according to your needs but this recipe = Cal 308 Carb 40 Fat 4 Prot 18

And don'tcha know yer tummy says, "Ohhhh, Thank You !!!"

    gyps

    ps & if plain, gotta have that fresh-ground black pepper . . . :>)

With mandarin oranges! Either fresh or from a can (there's one brand out there that sells them in juice rather than syrup!) ... so good, so tangy.

I heat it in the microwave for a little bit, add cut up banana and cinamon. Yummy!

I put it on my salads with salsa as dressing. I also enjoy it with pepper and tomatoes along with big chunks of avocado *drool* I will often do the toast with pepper also. I prefer the savory over the sweet.

My grandpa always had it as a side with spaghetti and mixed it in, so I love that too.

It's crazy - but try it with a little French/Western dressing on it and fresh cracked black pepper!

I use mine as a dip for some bite-size round tortilla chips! You can have 24 chips for 140 calories! Yummy! (Or, you can be really bad and use it as a dip for regular or kettle cooked chips!)

Plain and on top of toast.

I don't get the whole "fruit and cottage cheese" thing. It's more of a savory thing for me.

Lots of ways. But 3 of my favorite ways are:
    ~ with cut up bananas
    ~ blueberries, strawberries and raspberry's
    ~ a little Tabasco sauce
    Love it...great source of protein.
