I log it in as strength training...but I feel like it burns more calories than mfp gives me because it is so fast paced.

Body Pump is one of my favourite classes - I aim to go at least twice a week!

I created an exercise for it in my own exercise database; I use a heart rate monitor and I usually burn 300-400 cals for an hour of pump.

I would suggest getting a heart rate monitor because every persons body is different. But if you can't, I would log it in as "aerobics" for 60 minutes and see what calories MFP comes up with. For one hour with weights, it should be between 500-700 calories. I know when I do an hour of cardio blast I burn around 750.

Love body pump!! still sore from my class on Monday! I log it under strength training the cardiovascular section. I also think it underestimates the calories burned. but, I would rather it do that than overestimate it!

I love Pump too and do it 4 times a week! I have added it under the cardio section. I normally burn between 300 and 400 calories a class.
