Is It Just Me?

Hello everyone!! I was wondering is it just me, or do you guys find it weird to eat the back the calories you have burned? I noticed when I logged my food that I had a certain amount of calories left, but after I worked out I had more calories left to consume. I may be wrong, but I thought your suggested calorie intake was based on your weight, height, and how much weight you wanted to loose. I didnt know that you shoud add the calories you burned from exercise. What are you guys suggestions or opinion?
