Okay-- what's the funniest thing YOUR kids ever said about your weight?
Years ago, pregnant with my 4th child in 1995, my 4 year old, David, at the time saw a commercial for Slim-Fast. "Mom, there's this drink you can buy that has a lot of vitamins and makes people skinny." I explained to him that the product does help people lose weight, but that it doesn't help them to learn to eat properly so in the long run it doesn't really help them.
2 year old Faith then said, accurately, "Mommy, you're fat." "Yes, I am, Faith. Thank you for pointing that out." David said, "That's because she has a baby in her belly. But, she's still beautiful."
"Well, thank you, Sweetie." I said.
3 year old Sarah looked at me and said, "Well, if the baby's in your belly, then why is your butt so fat?"
Lemme hear yours--

I was wearing a pair of levis with the pockets that fold over in fasten in the back. My 12 year old was walking behind me and they weren't fastened so he says Mom I am playing with your flap. Well my 16 year old chimes in and says that's mean - you shouldn't tell mom your playing with her flab!
We all rolled!0 -
My husband, our 2 daughters and I were in Sam's Club about a week ago. Their carts can accomodate 2 children in the front, so I had both my 7 year old and my 3 year old in the front of the cart. As I wash pushing it around the store, my 7 year old says "Mommy look out! I'm going to tickle your flappy arm skin!" :noway: I don't know if anyone else heard her but I was mortified just the same.
On the way to the gym one night, my 3 year old asked why we go to the gym. I explained that it was to get healthy and build muscles. When I went to pick them up from the gym's "kid zone" after my workout, she looked at me and said, "Mommy, where are your muscles? I don't see them."
Out of the mouths of babes! :laugh:0 -
This summer I was buying new pillows and my 4 year old Zoe put a pillow under her shirt and said "Look mama. I'm like you now!" ...gotta love 'em.0

Each night I lift free weights in my bedroom while I watch TV. My 7-year old son came in and there was a Jenny Craig or one of those kinds of commercials on the TV. I'm not sure who the girl is. I'm assuming she is a minor celebrity, but she is blonde with quite a big chest and happens to be scantily clad in the commercial - showing off her bikini body. Anyway, my son looked at the TV, then at me lifting weights, and said, "Mommy, is that what you are trying to look like?" I nearly busted a gut laughing. My response to him - "I wish, but never in this lifetime, sweetheart." :laugh:0

   ROLLING IN THE FLOOR LAUGHING:laugh:
My child will soon be there, making all sorts of lovely logical statements that will kill me!
My daughter is only 3 so it wasn't what she said, but what she did.
While I was changing clothes, she came into my room and began lightly hitting my stomach. I will tell you honestly -- it jiggled like a bowl full of jelly (but I am no holly jolly Santa!). She giggled and repeated, giggled and repeated, ad nauseum. THEN, she went for my outer thigh. It didn't jiggle. ( ) She scowled. Then she smiled and returned to jiggling my belly.    :laugh:0 -

Thennnnnnn..... Let me add....I don't have kids but.... When I was at my heaviest... My neice looked at my sister (she was 5, mind you) and said "mommy aunt Cheryl needs to lay off of the doughnuts, doesn't she" That was what motivated me to change.:laugh:0
-
Mine told me my butt was too big for the toilet. :ohwell:0

My son had to write a story and draw pictures about what he was excited about for the upcoming summer.. We had a kiddie pool at the time and in the story he said he was looking forward to swimming this summer IF Mom didn't get in and take up the whole pool! Needless to say, we got a BIGGER pool that year! :ohwell:0

my little girl is only 2 so nothing really about my weight but every time I change and she is around she goes "woo woo mommy". It makes me feel good but I also know that she has no idea what she is saying. Daddy also does "woo woo mommy"0

This story is for my husband... my husband used to play college football, and still eats like a football player, so he has quite a stomach - a large, round pot-belly
Anyways, when my son was younger (2-ish), we had a friend who was expecting, and I was explaining how babies grow inside the mama's tummy, etc. He seemed cool with that info. A few days later, he walks up to my husband when we were waiting to be seated at a restaurant, started rubbing my husband's belly and said (loudly), "Daddy has a baby in his tummy!" I just about DIED of laughter. My husband didn't find it as amusing, though :laugh:0 -
My son always seems to catch me in the nude. He always looks and says" I see you naked". Thats not about my weight but its cute enough.:happy:0

Luckily, this story happened when my SIL was VERY pregnant with her second son. She was wearing a lovely black & white sweater & her oldest son (about 3 at the time) said, "Mommy, let's play farm! You can be the cow!" LOL Innocence.0

This one is from my little boy who is 3. When I started doing Turbo Jam and i was in the learning phase, I guess he heard her say, "Squeeze your glutes" one too many times b/c as we're walking through the grocery store, he yells (b/c that's his normal volume), "MOM! SQUEEZE YOUR BOOBS!" :laugh:0

Funny... thanks for sharing!
After I gave birth to my daughter, my 2 yr old son was sitting on my lap (I was wearing form fitting yoga pants), gently rubbed my spare tire and asked, "Mommy, why do you have a bum in the front?"
It was right around that time that I started this diet!!!
:ohwell:0 -
omg thank you thank you thank you. Hilarious posts.
Just after I had my 2nd, my oldest son said "Mommy, if he's out, why is your belly stills to biiiiiiiig?"0 -
Well, I figured we could all use a laugh, and Lord knows our children provide most of them.
Have a lovely day, all-- :flowerforyou: :drinker:0 -
Well, this doesn't pertain to weight but it was funny, nonetheless.
My daughter (5 years old at the time). wanted a baby sister & asked me when I was going to LAY another baby!
I love this thread! It's really made me laugh today!]0 -
When my oldest was 3 we lived right next door to a VERY large woman. One day we were in the backyard and he saw her and said, in the standard booming voice of a 3 year old, "Mommy, Mrs. Segro walks fat." I quickly hushed him and said he needed to be quiet or he might hurt her feelings. "Why? Doesn't she know she's fat?"0
-
When my oldest was around 4 she got into the habit of calling people fat. We told her that was not very polite and to refer to larger people as portly. She quickly caught on and loved the word portly. One night in a restaurant her grandpa was cutting up steak for her and didn't trim the fat off of it, so she announced to him that she would not be eating the portly on her steak thank you very much.0

On a road trip with my 9 yr old son, 7 yr old son, and 6 yr old daughter.
Middle son(real joker, this one) leans in real close to my ear and asks me what I put in a condominium. I said OH, furniture, stove, same thing as in our house.
Other kids snicker...hehehehehe
Middle son says no MOM, what do you put into a kingdom???You know a king-dom??
I am really confused now. Other kids snickering, hehehehehe. DH now laughing. HAHAHAHA
My older son leans over....mom, he means a condom....What DO you put into a condom, hah mom?
:noway: :blushing: :blushing: :laugh:0 -
Oh...and there was the time a beautiful girl was standing in front of us in line to go down the slide at a water park. Middle son was around 3 yrs old, just about butt high. Girl has on thong, mommy is 9 months pregnant, and likely jealous of girl in thong with perfect butt. :grumble:
Son keeps looking at butt, and grinning. HE IS THREEEEE! I am just fuming because I feel she is inapproriatly dressed. He asks me why hers looks so much different from mine. I tell him because it is in the sun and shrinks from the heat.
He reaches up with both hands and puts them on her butt!! And annouces they dont feel shrunkded!
I thought I would DIE! :blushing:0 -
     :laugh:0

OMG, I don't know which is funnier! The condom one or the thong one! I like how your husband was all sorts of help on the condom question, too. :laugh:0
