Have been starving all day! And yes, I've been complaining about it in all my posts. I'm even starving when I'm eating, and even when I just finished eating!

Today, when I picked my 15 year old up from his swimming practice after school, he said he was hungry, and asked if I could get him some fries on our way to watch the 14 year old run his cross country race (mind you, after cross country, we still had to go to the 15 year old's viola lesson, so we had a good hour and a half to two hours before dinner). I said ok, and ordered his medium fry. Waited for my total, and when they gave it to me, I asked if they could add on a small fry... For me! Dang it all!

But, minor victory, on our way to the viola lesson, ran through another drive through to get the 14 year old an order of fries (God forbid they think they missed out on something!) and even though my belly was saying "get some more, you only had a small", my mind resisted and I only ordered the one. Told myself it would only be an hour until dinner, but guess what--- The stuffed chicken still isn't done!

I'M STARVING!

lol... two teenaged boys, and an 11 year old, and an almost 10 year old.

And just so you know... I had roasted squash seeds and an apple in my bag...

    Even worse, isn't it? :blushing:

Look at the bright side! Rather than ordering a medium or a large fry, you ordered a small, which is a perfect portion! Don't be too hard on yourself, sometimes it's ok to have a little junk food :)

I dont' think its worse ... if I had a choice between french fries or an apple or squash seeds (whatever they are)

French fries would be my choice ... and I don't even like french fries ..

Then again .. I'm not a good influence :ohwell:

You know, fries happen. You're being too hard on yourself, this is a marathon not a sprint. Do you beat yourself up this much when you go $10 over your $100 grocery budget? Eating a bad of french fries does not say anything about your value as a person. It isn't a moral issue.

Just think about this logically, what would I have done differently? How can I exercise to compensate for these calories? Heck, maybe I need to budget in a bag of fries every week for this time as a treat and it can be a special time with my son.

We best from our mistakes, but when there is this much emotion wrapped up in the mistake we can miss the lesson.

Oops, I didn't mean to get preachy!!!
