I got a promotion! Woo hoo! I applied last year and was so ready to be turned down. I kept telling myself it was a long shot and I shouldn't expect too much too soon, but today I got the official letter from the Provost's office. I'm now an Associate Professor instead of an Assistant! I'm so excited I feel weak at the knees.

    It IS weight-related. Any time we have a change in our lives, we face the prospects of other changes too. I wish you all of the best as you get ready to make an exciting change in your life.

    I am hoping to get a new job soon, which will ask different things of me as well. (Hope I get it) I anticipate a lot more eating out, stressful situations (different from my current ones), emotionally-charged events, etc.

    So, YES - it is all related to our weight!
