Lately I've been listening to the Glee Albums. I like Forget you by Ce Lo and Bad Romance by Lady Gaga. Bulletproof by Laroux is a great one to get you pumped.

I like the Punk goes Pop albums. But any fast upbeat stuff works. 30 Seconds to mars is my fave band. Jared Leto gets me working out :):smooched:

Normally I really dislike this type of music, but I recently found drum n' bass/electronic rock stuff (think that's the genre - here's an example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDqoQmG2YvY#t=0m35s) to get me in the mood for doing my interval jogging on the treadmill. Kinda cool to up the speed when the rhythm of the song picks up.

When doing my lifting I listen to my usual classic rock & metal. A bit awkward when it goes from Tom Petty to Iron Maiden - but it works :P

One of the best things I have ever found for workout music is here:

    http://www.beezo.net/

It is where DJ's upload the extended mixes they play at clubs. Love love love this! It works out great for spinning workouts.

Anything from rap, old school rap and dance to alternative, electronic and indie music. I just keep an "exercise" playlist in iTunes and whenever I run my external hard drive on shuffle (almost 1TB of music) and find a good song -- either in rhythm and motivation -- I'll just add it to the playlist and it will sync to my iPod.

Because of that, I will have some Flogging Molly, 311, Blink 182, Beastie Boys, Phish, Soundgarden, Rage, Weezer, Barenaked Ladies, OAR, Sublime (like "I saw Red") even some Sugar Ray. I feel like my playlist is pretty eclectic compared to some.

The song Jai Ho (from Slumdog Millionaire) is the song I always hope comes up on my mp3 player toward the end of the workout when I'm just trying to make it through! Always picks me up - perfect beat! Embarassingly, Cup of Life (Ricky Martin) is one I love to workout to, too. If you're running, I like "I run for Life" for inspiration!
