How many times are you suppose to hit each muscle group a week? I do cardio 5 days a week. Was doing circuit but they are teaching me new stuff and I would spend 2 hrs weight trainin if I did it all in one day! Do you mix urs up..lower body..upper body...or what!? Just looking for suggestions on a schedule.

My family and I do Cardio 3 times per week, strength training 1 time a week and than we hit the gym for the weights maybe 1 time a week. But our goal is to lose weight before piling on muscle.:happy:0

I break it up into arms, legs, core.
I do weights 3x a week.
Hope that helps
I did read a JM tip that said to work different muscles on different days but I guess at this point I don't know enough about the muscle groups so I just left it as I am.0 -
I do one day lower body, one day upper body and one day abs and core muscles. That way I'm giving my muscles at least three days to rest before I hit them again. After I'm done one "cycle", I start over again. I usually give myself two complete rest days per week, where I do no strength training.0

There are so many ways you can do it... upper and lower divided (2 days), back & bi's - shoulders and tris - legs - chest (4 days) when you do a 4 day split it allows you to be at the gym and weight train often because there are a few days between doing the same muscle group. You have to decide how often you want to be in the gym and fit a program that works for you. You can't go wrong. I like to change up my program every 6 weeks! Good Luck!0
