Well I would have to say my favorite rainy day activity (as I am sitting here at work with the rain just pouring down to where I need a boat to get home) has to be reading in bed all cuddled up under the covers or watching a movie that way. What is yours?

  • I like to cuddle up by the fire and watch TV, but I also like to sew sometimes on rainey days.

If its anything but winter, I love running in the rain. Especially on a wooded trail. I feel so adventurous and free! And, of course, afterwards....curled up with a good book! :)

I'm good with just being in bed sleeping...
  • When it rains super hard and it's warm out I have boat races with the kids. We have a rainey day toy bin with little speed boats from the dollar store and we put em in the street gutters and race em. We also go on a worm rescue. Not my fave but they love it. My kids have Sensory Integration and HATE the feel of rain drops, so I am working on desensitizing them to it, because I think playing in the rain is something all children should experience. We make umbrella forts, and they love getting new rain boots every year.

So inspiring your work with your kiddos!! Keep up the good work and that all sounds like so much fun! I consider myself a kid at heart :-)

I find running when its raining out to be very relaxing. Some of my best runs have been in absolute downpours. Walking is almost as good.

Otherwise and I know it sounds silly... but do you remember those wet banana things from when you were a kid...

You know... long sheet of yellow plastic and you'd hose it down? Love to slide on those with my girls.

40 years old and still playing like a kid... Sigh. What will I do when I grow up?

Thats awesome Jeff, I haven't been on a slip and slide in forever! That would be really fun but I may mess my knee up worse these days, lol! I consider myself a kid at heart for sure and not sure when or if I want to grow up, lol!
