Hi, not so new but newly back

Was using the site 6 months ago until I fell off the wagon dues to smartphone issues.

After my recent physical I was "encouraged" to drop 20 pounds to help with blood pressure, chlesterol, etc.

Trying to make a serious attempt because I prefer this to a lifetime of medications and potential diabetic complications.

Right now, I'm trying to go slow (1 pound a week) and make the required lifestyle changes rather than rapidly drop a bunch of pounds and return to the old habits just to gain them back. Wish me luck.
