Needing motivation even though I've just started....

So I move a lot for college, back and forth between cities, and my scale has been "lost" for a few months but the last time I remember weighing myself (Christmas break I think) I was 129 lbs. I went to my regular physician late February for a check up and again- 129 lbs. I listed this as my starting weight on this site earlier this month. Last week I went to my diabetes specialist and weighed in at 136! Thinking this couldn't POSSIBLY be correct, I went home, dug out my scale, and was sorely disappointed. 135.5 was not the number I was hoping to see. I'm trying to make myself report a weight gain on the ticker but I really really don't want to. And it's depressing to think that I could have gained 6 lbs in just a month. My only thought is that I stopped exercising for 2 weeks, but is that really enough to put me back that far?

I had a similar issue! I went on vacation and stayed with my brother for awhile. So I completely changed my lifestyle, spent a lot of time sitting around inside, and ate a lot of junk food! When I came back I had gained around 10 pounds. It's hard and discouraging, but you need to just admit it, log it into your ticker and forge on to losing the pounds again. Even though it's hard now, think how good it will feel to watch the ticker going back down as you work it off!0

Weight gain can be discouraging but not reporting it, won't make it any less true. Record the weight and by seeing the number up there could be more incentive to get back on track with your exercising than looking at a number that isn't true. After you get back into your groove and lose some weight, then step back on the scale, you will feel better because you will have an honest representation of how much you've achieved. Good luck.0
