For those of you who unfortunately live somewhere where your weight is on your driver's license, how far off are you from that weight, either above or below?

I can't run and check right now, but I think mine says 155. When I lived in GA, it said 150, and at most I was only a few pounds off, at least for a while!

Had my DL scanned the other day while I was picking my son up from school - boy do I look different! The picture was taken about nine years ago and there is such a difference in the face it's unbelievable! There is a weight on the license, but it was incorrect when I got the license and it's too high now!

Mine still says the same thing it said when I got it when I was 16. Nobody has ever confronted me about it. It says 160, but I'm quite a bit over that.... like 100 pounds. I imagine all those cop shows where they enter the data that the suspect os 6'1" and about 200 lbs into the DMV database and find the guy. That would never happen in the real world because NObody has the correct weight.

Hehe, I never lived in one of those states until I moved to the south!!! I have had DLs in NJ, MI, GA, and SC, and only GA and SC had weights!

Also, apparently hair color used to be a common identifying item on DLs (years and years ago), and Clairol lobbied to have it removed.

I remember when I was graduating from law school, I was on the downward trend from 181 to 151.5, and when we were ordering graduation gowns, they asked for your height and weight. I was in the 160s at the time, and so I said 155, thinking by graduation that I'd be 155. Turns out I was 152 instead! Felt so good...

I guess so! I never thought to ask any friends abroad... but when I lived in the northern states it never came up. Only here in the south, where I'm surprised your religious affiliation isn't also on your DL!

So glad my state does not make me put my weight on the DL. I mean who actually puts their correct weight on their DL anyways? And then it fluctuates for everyone i'm sure. LOL mine would probably say what I weighed at 16. :)

On a side note, I'm 25 and the check out lady at the grocery store almost didn't let me buy alcohol because my hair looked different in my picture (slightly more red were her words, and curley). That day it was straight. I don't color my hair so it couldn't have been that off. Geesh I seem to always be questioned about my license. lol

Minnesota lists it as well. I've always hated that. I'm about 30 lbs over my DL weight.

Mine says 150 (Which was just a guess because I refused to step on a scale) then ballooned up to 230, now down to 175. I used my DL weight as a short term goal for me this year. Its good motivation.

Luckily there is only a height on my drivers license, but the New Hampshire Fish and game Department is still under the impression that i'm 240lb. which I haven't sniffed in almost 5 years.

Mine says 180, which was true when I got it in 2006. My goal for 2011 is to hit that again.
  • yup, add Indiana to the list of states that require it.

That's insane! Then again, my ex-husband and I were in Boston a couple of years ago (when we were still together) and he wanted to buy beer at the grocery store across the street from our hotel (in an area with about 6 or 7 other hotels). The lady at the cash register almost refused to sell it to us because we weren't from "Mass" and so they don't know what the driver's licenses look like. They have books for that! I've seen them. Then she asked me if I was over 25 (my ex is a few months younger than me), and I was, so she sold it to us. Without looking at my DL. It was so weird.
