Net calories

My net calories at the end of the day after logging food and exercise is around 1100-1200 (usually unless it's a cheat day). Is this good? Let me know what net calories you usually reach daily for weight loss. My goal is 1lb a week. I'm in that stage where I'm not losing due to recently joining a gym and I'm gaining muscle.

My net is between 1150 and 1250. I lose sporadically, but have recently shed 5.5 pounds in 2 weeks. I'm 165 lbs, 5"4 - 5"5. I definitely try to keep above 1200 when at all possible so as not to hinder weight loss.0 -
Generally speaking, the design of MFP is that your goal is to make your net calories are equal to your goal calories. Try to keep it over 1200, or better yet, look up your BMR and use that as your NET goal- you are quite slim already- under eating at this stage in your loss can slow you down, eating to your BMR will help assure your body you have enough to food to feed it and that losing weight is acceptable.0

I would definatly not go under 1200 and whenever you workout, you want to eat back some of those calories back. We are about the same size and I take in about 1500 to 1700 a day!!!! Once you are woking out, you are building your metabolism back up, so you need to eat more to keep it going!!!!!!0

Thanks guys for all of the feedback. I was let down by the scale today because I haven't weighed in over a month and have been going to the gym working my butt off and counting cals and found I gained a pound a half.
Sarah-I'm currently 10lbs heavier than you. I would love so much to reach 115 by this summer. Not sure if it's going to happen as my body seems to hold on to weight and it is soo hard for me to lose.0 -
Just keep working at it!!!! I was stuck for the longest time and then all of the sudden it came off! Make sure you are busting your butt at the gym and eating healthy and eating your calories and it will come off. It takes time and hard work and we all know that there is no easy quick solution!!!!! You can do it, I have tons of faith in you :happy:0
