sugar-free jelly, rice cakes of varying flavours, soups especially tomato (so filling!), porridge (I think that's oatmeal in the US?), peppers, carrots or cabbage eaten raw, low-fat yogurts especially Total 0% fat natural yogurt, breadsticks and low calorie hot chocolate eg options - these are the main things I use when low on cals in a day!

I've come to love spray butter! One of my favorite low-cal snacks is Edy's frozen fruit bars. With the exception of the cocnut flavor, they have about 80 calories and no fat, and they're made with real fruit. I also love Kraft string cheese. I don't like the taste of the 2% version, but even the original mozzarella is only 80 calories per stick. The best part is that it's packed with protein and no carbs, so it's a good snack on those nights when my carbs are close to going over my limit.

    ooooh, great thread!

    1. Konyaku noodles. lowwwwwwwwwwww calorie, low carb, yummy noodles.
    2. radishes. I eat 'em like candy
    3. egg whites.
    4. tofu. In soup, with tons of veggies.
    5. quinoa. good source of grainy protein. weird texture, but I'm kinda hooked on it.
    6. Frozen grapes. Weird? Like cold candy.
    7. guavas. fairly low sugar for a fruit.
    8. celophane noodles. again, a plant based noodle. very versatile.
    9. low sodium club soda with lemon juice. The closest thing to soda that I drink.
    10. tea. I know. Not great for you, but i'm addicted to the stuff.
    11. homemade kale chips. I dry them in the oven, use olive oil spray and bake them with nutritional yeast.. super healthy
    12. brown rice. very filling and takes on almost any flavour.
    13. popcorn. air popped with spices instead of salt. curry and cumin with some garlic powder is yummy.

gah. I can only think of 13 right now :(
