    good morning...

    off to the gym, stop by the store for toilet paper, bread, ice cream. that's where shanell gets the ice cream kick. it has always been in the house. and will always be in the house. just choose better kinds.

    Good morning ladies!

    Well, I logged again today. However, yesterday, I worked both of my jobs (9am-10pm) and came home starving, so I cheated last night... Will try to do better today! Luckily I only work my retail job one day per week until school gets out this summer.

    Shanell - Where are you going on your vacation this summer?
    Beky - AWESOME job!
    Lauryn - I'm totally with you girl! Let's do this together!
    Cathy - My husband does not allow ice cream in the house... I guess it's a good thing. We do have a good frozen custard place not too far from our house that we walk to in the summer time. Our dog LOVES the puppy "sundaes" too (vanilla custard with a dog biscuit)!

    I probably should introduce myself to those of you I haven't "met". I'm Lindsey, age 29, living in Indiana. I live with my husband of almost 3 years and our boxer Sophie. We desparately want to start a family, but things aren't going well in that department yet. I miscarried last September, and we've been unsuccessful in conceiving again. Hoping for the best though! I'm turning the big 3-0 this year (AAAHHHH!) and going on a 4-day cruise with my high school girlfriends this summer. Can't wait for that! I am licensed in elementary education but unfortunately, there are NO teaching jobs (and our state officials are really screwing up our system...). I worked as a paraprofessional with a 3rd grade little boy with Down Syndrome. Most days I like it, others I want to pull my hair out. It's OK though. I also work at D___'s Sporting Goods part time (love the discount!). MFP likes to edit that one.

    Good morning friends!

    Had a GREAT night last night! It was like 70 degrees out! Went home, Kadence and I went on a wonderful run, then played outside, ate dinner outside, played outside some more...and then when she went to bed I did my shred! YAY! I love being in control and motivated!!! I think it's the weather!

    Plan today:
    Food--
    B-oatmeal, juice, coffee w/sugarfree creamer
    S-Banana, cereal bar
    L-Cottage cheese, baby carrots, light yogurt
    S-Apple
    D-Grilled London Broil (w/o bacon), baked beans, leafy green salad with baby tomatos and spritzer dressing
    S-Frozen yogurt

    Exercise--
    2 mile run, shred day 3 level 1

    what a great workout. i haven't workout that hard in a very long time. would have stayed longer, but, my back had started hurting. i don't push the back pain. so stopped at the store on way home, home, showered ready to start a day with nothing to do.

    have a roast in the oven with onions, sweet potatoes, carrots. smells good in here. cooking it nice and slow. will have that and a salad and some green beans. nothing like a nice meal after a day of feeling good (still) after workout. will have to do something tomorrow too. i have been skipping days. it just feels tooooo good to pass up.

    Good evening ladies!!!

    Mom- it's great that your feeling so great, and the workout was a great help in that factor.

    Lindsay- we are going to Disney World. Me and hubby are taking 3 weeks off of work for vacation to enjoy ourselves and not feel rushed. One week in Disney and 1 doing things around Charleston, then the last week to do NOTHING! LOL.

    Lorna- thanks! One of the girls came back today, the other one is still out sick. I asked if I could leave at lunch time on Friday. Going to go get my motorcycle permit, :)

    Everyone else- HAY!!!!

    AFM: Had a great day besides waking up late cause I forgot to turn the alarm on. Hubby and I had a salad for lunch and then walked around our warehouse that we work at, which is about a half mile. Then we decided to go to a new hot dog place in town and that's where it went bad, but let me not say that, because if I did the calculations right, I didn't go over on calories. So I guess not so bad. I did have a hot dog that would gross most out, but it was actually very good. Just could've done without the bacon. It was an Elvis dog. It had the hot dog, banana, peanut butter, honey, and bacon. Sounds gross, but I assure you, it was awesome.

    Then my oldest daughter and I took one of our dogs for a walk. Now I'm sitting here chilling.

    I am SO crabby!! :mad: I woke up Tuesday morning with some stiffness in my back - no big deal (so I thought) I just figured some good stretching would do the trick. Well today I was putting my son into his carseat and twisted the WRONG way! I was in unbelievable amount of pain and somehow managed to drive home. It's a 10 minute drive, but I'm sure God was helping the whole way. My hubby brought me to the chiro, but my back (actually a rib or 2) is obviously out. No Zumba for me tonight :sad: and no marathon training for awhile either. :brokenheart: I'm so grouchy - the first thing I did is grab a bag of chips to begin my stress eating. So - I'm skipping weigh-in this week, and I'm pulling myself together. Just because I can't exercise, doesn't mean I have to pack on the weight. But I'm really REALLY sad!! :sad: I need to rest so I can get better.

    There my pity party is over. I'm glad so see a lot of weigh-ins going in the right direction. :flowerforyou: You ladies will keep me motivated! However, for now, I'm going to lay in bed. Talk to you soon!

    I'm still here!! just not checking in as I have given up the scales for lent! also i have taken on a second job for four weeks so am going to be really busy and totally exhausted for a month! but i will be back on the scales soon (i must find out when lent ends!!) and hopefully get back into it. Because DO NOT GIVE UP THE SCALES. It is hell!!! i have done no exercise for 2 weeks and have been eating moderately well (interjected with huge amounts of ice cream regularly) so I think i will have done some serious damage with the non weighing.

    Anyway, I am still here and i know i have been very unattentive but life is just getting too hectic right now, i will be back in and regular soon. I PROMISE!

    good morning.

    finn...that's the one thing with scales. if you don't use them as a TOOL. you tell yourself that i can eat this or skip the workout this time and get back later. later never comes and than when you get on the scale it's like "WHAT! where did that come from?" when you use the scale as a TOOL, it's always in your mind, "if i eat this it will be there in the morning." the scale is a good TOOL, but, shouldn't run our lives. i take breaks from mine, but, i couldn't take the break your taking. i applaud you for that. *clapping*. can't wait to have you back.
    shanell....that hot dog just sounds nasty. dad and i aren't sure when we will try it. we have been really watching what dad eats right now. they changed his meds so he is doing soooo much better.
    kisten....enjoying the workouts again. the weather is great.
    lindsey...the weight will come back off. just keep at it.
    datenshi...there you go cheating on the loss again. LOL. doing a great job.
    bekey...yea for under 9 stone.
    lauren...it will come off.
    julia...rest. can't fool with the back.
    lula...hows the ankle?
    lauryn...how you doing? keep your balance and you will do fine.

    afm....nothing on the calender for today. i haven't decided if to go for a walk, gym, JM shred. i will do something. i have been in the habit of not doing anything 4 days of the week. i want to change that and see what happens. i will decided and head out. i think i will pile my grocery list for this weekend.

    Not doing so hot this week, but seeing it in print is getting me motivated. Ankle doesn't feel any better or any worse, even with a brace, so I'm going to try running today and see what happens. Didn't hurt while running on Monday, only during step class. So we'll give it a go.

    Had another great night last night! Got in a good run with Kadence when I got home, then grilled some yummy London Broils. Kadence and I played outside a bit, then did my JM Shred Day 3-Level 1. (Kadence imitated it too!) Then my sister and I ran to the library to check out some dvds (our weekly date). Then watched the season finale of Off the Map! It was a great night!

    Judy...how are you?

    Cathy...good job doing the shred! How did it feel?

    Shanell...okay...that hotdog sounds totally gross, but I'll believe you if you say it's good! :)

    Lorna...did you forget to weigh-in again? I'm sure you're doing fine. We all have off weeks.

    Clare...I hate it when not weighing in...I NEED that number to keep me motivated!

    Lauryn...keep at it girl! You're doing great!

    Julia...you poor thing!! I totally know how frustrating injuries are! Hope you get better quick! But do take it easy for now...don't want to make it any worse.
