I am really new to fitness and the gym. Just turned 30 and feel its time to do something. Actually I am not that out of shape.
I am running around 3 miles and rowing 2000m in the gym.

Today I decided to have a recovery drink. I felt a bit sick after. Then I thought, do I actually need a recovery drink after that workout?

Now I want dinner as its late, but that would be like having 2 dinners? All those calories I burnt off are now back on and more?

What do you think?

your recovery drink should not be as many calories as your dinner...mine is about 150 calories.

Can you recommend a good recovery drink after running and rowing which is what I do most of.
  • Lots of runners drink chocolate milk.
  • almond milk with whey protein added
