Starting Insanity.

Ok friends, I am ready to take the plunge, and I have a question. I am going to start Insanity. Now my question is, by logging exercise via MFP using a HRM, should I just follow their food guidelines, or must I follow the guidelines and suggestions from the nutrition book?

    I am on Day 6 and am not using their guide, but I am making sure I get my 1200 calories a day and trying to make it balanced, I will start grabbing a "recovery shake" after since my muscles are hurting.
