MISSDEEHERE'S ONE WEEK CHALLENGE~FOR SHORT TERM GOALS
FOCUSING ON ONE WEEK AT A TIME, WHEN THE BIG PICTURE SEEMS TOO OVERWHELMING.......
FOR THE WEEK OF: April 10 to April 16, 2011
BUT…… Make your week the week that works for you. Sun to Sat or Mon to Sun, whatever is YOUR week!
You choose what one/or more things you want to work on this week. Don't set them tooo high or unreachable, but something you need to work on.
Motivation for Weight Loss
M -make short term goals
O -out with the negative thoughts
T -think of why you want it
I -imagine how you will feel
V -visualize the future you
A -acknowledge your successes
T -treat yourself with respect
I -investigate new ideas and foods
O -observe your healthy lifestyle
N -never give up and never give in
I'M MOTIVATED & LOSING AGAIN AND SO ARE THE OTHERS WHO PARTICIPATED! WHY NOT JOIN US??

Week 8 for me: My goal this week is to exercise 130 minutes & stay under calories 6/7 days.
I still wanna lose 2 pounds this week. Spring is coming!!
:glasses: I Had a great week this past week and am hoping for another one!!:glasses:
Week 7 Goal 100 min & stay under calories & I did 165 min, was under 6/7 days (lost 3 lbs)
Week 6 Goal Stay within calories/Light Exercise & I did 5/5 days under & began Light Exercise (lost 1.4 lbs)
Week 5 Goal 120 min & I did 65/120 CHANGED TO Stay under Calories & I did 6/7 days (.4 gain due to injury)
Week 4 Goal 120 min & I did 130 (lost 1.8 lbs)
Week 3 Goal120 min & I did 140 (lost 1.4 lbs)
Week 2 Goal 100 min & I did 135 (lost 2.2 lbs)
Week 1 Goal 100 min & I did 120 (lost 3 lbs

We are finding that taking it one week at a time is working better for us. We can keep the same goals, up them or change them alltogether!! But we can look at a smaller picture for a smaller us!!

I had so much sodium this week...didn't show a loss so i am going way strick this week and walking alot out side cause it's great and will hopefully lose the water weight and actual weight so hopefully atleast 2 lbs down and walking every day is my goal.0

I missed last weeks challenge and i can tell I was missing this group all week long. this week... which is another crazy week for me.... I want to exercise 6/7 days a week for a total of at least 240 mins.
For a NS goal I want to get my "tupperware" cabinet straightened out. Have been letting my family put away dishes and it is a riggin mess!!!

I'm in for another week. I think this is week 8 for me... I wish I'd kept track of my goals as well as you have been Miss Dee But I know I did really well last week.
This week's goal I'm hoping for a good lose this week, my plan track everything (hopefully this will help keep my snacking under control). Anything I eat goes in the diary. I'm hoping to keep under my calorie intake at my given level.

You know of course I'm in this week too
I promise myself to take one day off from exercise because I can feel that my body needs a break after somewhere around 2+ weeks of exercising every day.
I think I have myself conditioned to have at least 9 glasses of H2O a day so I'll keep up with that.
Lose at least 1lb and stationary bike at least 100 miles.

MAK I track my weight daily, as well as if I made my daily goals. So it is easy. I am QUEEN OF COPY & PASTE!! LOL Good Luck this week!! WE CAN DO IT!!

I am in for this week. My week is Saturday through Friday. I weigh on Saturday mornings and weekends seem to be the time to get focused. My exercise goal is 100 mins and logging in everyday.
It really helps to know that this group is out there. Miss Dee I love your motivation and support. Knowing you are out there makes me accountable to getting back online and logging in. The weekly goal is a great managable time frame. Here is to a good week!!!:drinker:0 -
Last week was a bad bad bad bad week. LOL Didn't even come close to my goal but that's okay. I'm hitting the reset button and it's going to be great!

I've been ill all night so I am working on a major lack of sleep and my tummy is really hurting. I finally caught the bug my daughter, mother, and sister had this week.
Goals:
Exercise 175 minutes

I fell a bit short of my exercise goal last week I completed about 90/120 minutes. My goal this week is to not let last weeks setback derail me. This week is going to be incredibly tough for me at school and so, my other goal is to honestly log in EVERYTHING I eat and stay aware of what I am putting in my body because when I get stressed out I rifle through my kitchen cabinets and I really don't want to sabotage myself like I have in the past. Good luck with your goals everyone, and please know how much you all inspire me.0

I'm brand new here and just joined yesterday. I have a 14-pound weight loss goal and would like to achieve that in a few months, or at least as much of it as possible. I'm in with the one week challenges - looking forward to motivation from all of you!!:happy:0

So happy to have you here and glad to hear you say that you will take months to make that loss. I just read a great post today on wanting to lose too quickly when you have suck a small amount to lose. (or any amount for that matter).
Developing the healthy eating and exercise routine takes time to do it right. Then you HAVE to live like this. I am soooo mad at myself for allowing such a huge gain over the years. I pray that all this healthy info stays in my brain & in my heart. I wanna live to see my grandchildren succeed.
The support from this group is awesome!! Hope you will FRIEND some of us. :-)

MissDee my buddy. I am floundering lately so I am in. This is truly what I know I need to do to be successful since I never struggle in the day time.
1. 6 - 8 glasses of water a day.
2. journal every bite that goes in my mouth after 5:00 pm (this is the struggle time)

I'd like to clarify - I gained 3 pounds of water weight over the past 48 hours so I want to lose those 3 water weight pounds to get back to my 28 lb loss (which should happen quickly) and THEN 2 regular pounds on top of that to get me to 30 lbs lost by next Saturday!0 -

yes!!!! count me in again! i bought a new pair of running shoes and put them on today and did 6 miles!!!! i lost 3 lbs last week.... and this week my goal is to do 20 miles on my new shoes and to get my bike out at least once this week.... and eat vegetarian meals 3 times this week. and i will hit past my 25 lb loss!!!!! good luck all!!!!!!!!!!!have a great week!:happy:0

So far ok today for my goal. I didn't get lunch so we ate dinner early, and I feel like I way over ate (and ate way to fast). Now I feel BLAH, I really do know better.
It's been a crazy day, up early and started working on the bathroom renovation. Went to Home Depot at least 3 times. Went for a walk with my mom, brother, and the 3 dogs, ran to the grocery store, made dinner.
Happy to say so far I've logged everything (even the chocolate chips I snacked on earlier). I'm ok with calories, over with everything else, but I'm feeling bad probably because I inhaled my dinner.
Well back to work on the mon-fri routine tomorrow.0 -

Haven't had soda in quite awhile but today drank a bunch and ate fastfood for 2 meals basicly full days calories over lunch.
And to top it off no exercise:noway: :grumble: :noway: :grumble:
