Hi

just started a new job will only last a month and basically involves me being on my feet non stop at least 6 hours a day. Do I change my setting to lightly active or active?

I would. I've got mine set at sedentary as my job is office based so that days I am not at work I log everything like walking, housework etc. If you set it at active or lightly active because of your job, I guess it means you wouldn't log those things the days you don't work as that level of activity will already be factored in. Hope that makes sense.

Personally I'd just leave it alone. Use any extra burn as bonus!

I'm on my feet moving all day at work, but it's not enough to raise my heart rate, so I've kept my activity level at sedentary. I'm guessing that it keeps me more honest (since I'm not counting those calories, but sometimes guesstimate my food.)

Ok. Thing is I won't be this active in a months time, I could wear my heart rate monitor and count my calories that way but I can't survive on 1200 calories everyday when I'm walking for 6 hours.

Think I will just change it to lightly active.
