Wishbone salad spritzers are a life saver. I love the Ranch vinagrette!0

I use salsa
Me too!! So much better for you and you can eat a bunch for so few calories.0 -
My grandma always puts oil and vinegar on hers. You may have to check the calories on the oil, but I think it usually winds up being less than the dressing.0

I eat my salad plain - with no dressin at all...Its plain - but it seems to work
I see some use lemon juice as a toppin ...0 -
I just go without it!
But there are options such as just adding vinegar, for example, or low-fat yogurt, fresh herbs....0 -
Kraft Fat Free French.0

Try the having the dressing on the side and just dip your fork into the dressing.0

Put the dressing on the side and dip your fork in with each bite. You'll eat considerably less.0

I have all but abandoned salad dressings and do not miss them. My favorite thing is just squeezing half a lemon on it. It's GREAT!!! And little to no calories!!0
-
Putting just an eency weency bit, might work, too, making do with almost no dressing....0

Try Bolthouse Farms yogurt dressing. I got the chunky blue cheese and it tastes almost like Roquefort and it only has 4.5 grams of fat per 2tbsp0

Fat free Raspberry Vinaigrette is Yummy!
sometimes I mix a bit of Fat free ranch with salsa and that is tasty also.0 -
i use wishbone spray ranch 2 calories a spray.0
-
I also use salsa or balsamic vinegar.
If you must have dressing, I find the old dip the fork trick to be the best for me. I don't ever just put dressing on a salad any more - always dip and bite.0 -
I use olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It's delicious and much healthier! If you can't do without the dressings, go for the spritzers. They are only a few calories per spray!0
-
Thanks for the tip.....I really love ranch dressing and I miss it.0

Ken's Light Options Salad Dressings are delicious0
-
I love to sprinkle it with red wine vinegar and grated garlic0

Not sure if this is available where you live... but I buy Portman's light Italian dressing... 10 calories per 2 TBS! But it is still high sodium... like all the other salad dressings... a lot of other light salad dressings are under 50 calories for 2 tbs... but if at all possible you do want to go with 'light' instead of 'fat free' because the fat free ones generally add sugar instead... How do you feel about mustard? I've not tried this yet... but maybe whip up some spicy brown mustard with some laughing cow cheese with a little vinegar to thin it out?0

I make my own so I know exactly what goes into it and how much fat/calories it is. Or, I just use plain balsamic vinegar (not viniagrette) and it's delish!0

If your a ranch eater-you can use Hidden Valley packets mixed with Fage greek yogurt and its very low cal. Sodium is high from the Ranch pkg though....
I personally like to mix salsa and Greek 0% yogurt and use that as dressing
My fav bottled dressing is Maple Grove Farms Balsamic Vinigarette its 15 cal per tbls0 -
Walden Farms has some good dressings if you can find it at your grocery store. Very tasty and "Calorie free". I use the Walden Farms Honey Dijon Vinaigrette...it is yummy! Not sure what other varieties they have but I know there were quite a few at my grocery store. Good luck!0

I like making my own dressings. Summer fav is lime juice and calantro. And you can make dressings with no where near the calories in store bought stuff. However, when you have to or just desire your other dressings I would definately use the dressing on the side dip your fork in the dressing way...you get the flavor you want and like half the calories....you will also find you will use less and less of the dressing this way! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!0

I love Kraft Light salad dressings. I always have it on the side and use 1/2 serving. This also applies to other foods that have a "sauce" to it, like my fav Eggs Benedict!0
-
All great advice here! I love oil and viegar with salt and pepper- not too much oil. Experiment and make your own concoctions in a shaker. It takes some time- but you ll get to where you dont need much dressing!0

I'm the same way. I like some salad with my dressing. lol If I'm in the mood for a salad, I try and cut a few calories during the day so I can kind of "treat" myself to some regular dressing on a salad for dinner. It's all a numbers game.0

Try cutting back to 1 Tbsp to see if you really need all that dressing. I like to dress my salad and then cut through it a few times to help mix the dressing in...and also to get smaller bites. You may be surprised at how little dressing you actually need.0

Try Bolthouse Farms yogurt dressing. I got the chunky blue cheese and it tastes almost like Roquefort and it only has 4.5 grams of fat per 2tbsp
Bolthouse dressings have SAVED salad for me! Their ranch is DELISH, and only 70 cal/serving. The Blue Cheese is even lower-cal, and just as creamy.0 -
Not sure if you have a Chick-Fil-A near you, but I LOVE their Light Italian Dressing. It is only 15 Cal per serving and my local store sells the packets to me for $0.15 each.0
