This thread is one in which a new fitness and dietary challenge is posted each week. The challenges begin on Monday. Lets keep this rolling!

All the hard work from the past couple of weeks should help us out on this weeks challenge.
It’s Circuit Training Time!!!!
The goal for this week is to complete the following Circuit Training Routine 3 days this week:
20 Jumping Jacks, 15 Lunges (each leg), 20 Jumping Jacks, 15 Push Ups (any style) and 20 Crunches
*Bonus: Push Yourself and Repeat the routine 2 or 3 times in the same day
DIETARY CHALLENGE:
Try 1 New Fruit and 1 New Vegetable. Share your experience with the group. __________________________________________________________________________________________

Hey all! Back from our all-too brief vacay and set to get back on track with workouts (and healthier eating)!
I've already gotten in my treadmill run this morning, but will come back to tackle the circuit later on & will fill in the chart then.
I'm with Shawnalee -- not sure there's not a fruit or veg that I haven't met, but I'll look around. In the meantime, if anyone out there is daring to try kale (one of my favorite green leafies), one hint I have for you is make sure you remove the main thick ribs on the back of the leaf, then to blanch it quickly (a minute or two), then cook it according to your recipe. This helps to break it down a little bit so it won't be so tough. But if you're me, I like to eat it raw in my salad -- yum!

If you are having a hard time getting in a New Fruit/Vegetable, maybe you could prepare a fruit/vegetable you already eat in a different way. For example, instead of eating strawberries alone, put some in your salad or add it to a recipe. Just an idea. ..Good Luck!

loveme445...i really love you i loved the circuit!! did it 3 times today..it's so much fun...wonder why i never thought of something like this!!
I did modify the circuit to include 15 squats and eliminated 1 set of jumping jacks.
However, I might end up taking the easy path of trying a fruit/veg in a different receipe :blushing:

sort of a weak start....but in my defense, I did start thinking about new fruits and vegetables...
and I fully intended to start circuit training today, but I didn't get to it this morning and on Monday nights I play polo (the horse kind, not the water kind lol) and by the time I get home from that I'm WIPED! (but its a FANTASTIC workout!)

gotta work on the new fruit veggie thing but I think the training is gonna be great! It only took me 7 minutes to do the whole routine and I feel fantastic with just that 1 circuit!!0 -
