Am I nuts?
I am not a great runner... you could actually walk faster than I run, probably. I will be doing 5Ks and 10Ks to prepare, but I need some advice on how and when to train.

you are totally not nuts! i don't run at all and my friend has convinced me to do a 5K in a few months. here's what she has sent me and it's been really beneficial so far.

Perfect! Thank you everyone! I have 23 weeks until the mini marathon, so I will have to train for a 5K, then 10K to get ready. There are plenty of those races around, so I will not have any trouble finding one to run.
So scary to think about it, though. I will have to believe in myself more than I ever have, I think!0 -
You can do it. If you can't find a training that you like let me know, I think I still have my old ones (that were given to me in beginner groups) and can pull them together for you. They are for either people who do intervals (run/walk/run) or straight runners, and include some cross training days. You'll have fun and be amazed at how well you work.0
