my knee

I've been on the treadmill the last 2 days, first day with a 30 minute run (with 2 one minute walking breaks) and then yesterday, a 10 minute run, then 20 mins of interval running.

Today, my left knee really hurts! Not happened to me before. What do we think?!

I must admit, I normally mix it up and if I run one day, I'll bike or elliptical the next...

    My knee had started hurting too....so I have not done any strenuous exercise since Friday and it is feeling better. So, I will start back again next week and monitor my knee everyday. It may be your shoes or it could be the exercise. Just monitor it to see what the cause is. When I find out which exercise makes it hurt, I will not do it anymore.

    It's probably adjusting to a new workload. I know I have to be careful, so I don't run two days running. Try single-leg squats and lunges to help strengthen the knee, and make sure you go to a specialist shop to get fitted for suitable running shoes.
