Im looking for a decent, easy to follow program... any ideas? Something that will help me with techniques for building lean muscle.

  • You might want to try local gyms. They might have programs for you.

You might want to try Mark Ripptoe's "Starting Strength"

You don't have to buy the book. Details of the program are easily available on the web.

Check out New Rules of Lifting... teaches all you need to know and gives you a detailed workout to follow. I love it!

I love the Adonis workout. adonisindex.com has a 12 week foundation for beginners, then 80 some odd weeks of different cycles to keep your body guessing.

Also check out books by Pavel Tsatsouline, e.g. "Power to The People" he goes in depth on proper technique. I also frequent http://fitnessblackbook.com/ it's a good blog, with lots of good info on getting lean, and strength training.
