I love to have an occasional drink on the weekends. I live on the coast so we are constantly on the boat or at a pool party of some sort. I know I cant afford to drink any beer, even ultra has 96 cals. Any suggestions on mixed drinks ???!!? Please help!!

I believe vodka has the lowest amount of calories for hard liquor. At home, I mix it with Diet 7up or Crystal Light. Those mixers aren't always available at a club/bar/boat though. Like the person above, vodka with soda water & lime is really low in stats.

Bud Select 55 also has half the alcohol content of a Mich Ultra.. So if you are looking to get your "buzz on", you'll drink the same amount of calories and spend twice as much money. Just a little tidbit of advice!

    My new favorite drink is:

1 shot of vodka (about 69 calories), mixed with Polar Diet Half & Half (I think it's half grapefruit/half lemon) (0 calories).

If you blend it with ice, it tastes exactly like a frozen lemonade!

I don't drink a lot, but like to enjoy what I have, so I try to budget calories and avoid the food served near drinks (like chips and salsa, or garlic fries, or ...you get the picture...)
So, 1 Newcastle, or one Margarita on the rocks without salt, or one vodka tonic.....then lots of water or diet pop.....

Captain Morgan and Diet Coke. 1 shot has 60 cals, and if you put in a whole can of diet you can sip on it for awhile. I'm a lightweight, so usually 2 of these and I'm goooooood! :)

Gin & Soda with a splash of lime juice is my drink of choice! Depending on the proof of the gin, it comes in around 85-110 calories.

Skinny Girl Margarita on the rocks, Vodka with flavored seltzer water, Wine Spritzer (described above), Bud Select or MGD 64. I stick to wine. More than one alcoholic drink really isn't good for you, especially when you're dieting, so why not enjoy a glass of wine or 1 beer? Just don't over do it. Alcohol and diet will never be synonymous, so treat it as a special thing and just have a little.

Anyone ever tried drinks from Hungry Girl Happy Hour? I have had a few and they're pretty good.

I try to avoid soda as much as possible so it can be difficult to find lowcal alcohol drinks... alot of places now offer lower calories drink options (I've seen margarita, mojito & martini, etc) Still not the greatest but alot better than their calorie laden counterparts.

Otherwise, I stick to cranberry vodka even though cranberry can be a little higher, it's good for you. :-)
