Slow and steady is exactly how you want to do it. This isn't some crazy fad diet that's only going to be "over" so you can gain it all back. This is a healthy new lifestyle that will be with you forever. Each pound gone is gone forever, too. Great job, and keep going!0

Next time you are in the grocery store, go to the dairy section pick up that pound of butter and really look at it, then look at you and see what you have lost. Sometime you just need to see what you have lost. Good job, this isn't an easy road!0

I noticed my pants are looser this morning, but just havent dropped any pounds. Maybe next week.0 -
I compare week on week, but always compare back to my starting weight
after all, if you lose a few pounds, but then put one on, you've still lost from your starting weight - that's what its all about after all0 -

I am not sure why, but I keep fluctuating between 147.8 and 146.2. I can't seem to break it. But, I think I have lost a couple lbs since April 1st. But I started this MFP journey at 157 so I am happy with that. Gotta change something up though today. Do something unexpected by my metabolism.0

I hate to break the bad news to you but as it's only your second check-in, you can probably still expect your weight to go up a little while your body adjusts to your new lack of calories and your muscles are full of blood and pumped from the exercise. Please try not to worry too much within the first 4 weeks I would say. And don't rely on the scales alone - get that tape measure out and measure at the same time, same day 1-2 weeks apart.
