Hi everyone,
I was just wondering how important it is to keep within my protein limit? Hubby is cooking me a steak tonight as a treat, so I added that to my diary, and that is a lot over my protein intake, without eating anything else today!
Thanks in advance for the advice

P.S I had my first weigh in today, and lost 4.4 lbs :-)

I've always read that .5-1 gram per pound of desirable body weight is fine for most people. So, if your healthy weight is 140 lbs, then anywhere between 70-140 grams/day is probably fine. Protein is supposed to stay with you a little better, too, so I try to include some in every meal along with some fiber.0

I agree with these folks. I mainly watch my calories and sugars as far as not going over.0
