I have recently picked up a bad coffee habit. It seems like I have to have it in the am, it just seems natural to make a cup before starting my day however, I either end up forgetting to actually eat anything. Also I am concerned about the cream and sugar I add. I have tried alternative sugars but I do not like the aftertaste.

do anyone know what to do to get over a coffee habit?

I still have 1 cup in the morning and it's the only thing I add sugar to so I allow myself that and it doesn't seem to have hurt me at all. I just add the sugar in my diary but I am trying to slowly cut back on it.

I can't help you get over the habit...as I have one just as bad. BUT...I use sugar free creamers/cream. Coffee in itself isn't too bad...so personally, I'm trying to cut my additives out. For example...I was using 1 1/2 Tbl with my 12oz of coffee. Now I've cut down to 1 Tbl with my 12oz. In a week or so, I'm going to cut down to 1/2 Tbl and then hopefully go black.
  • I used to buy a cup of hot chocolate/ Irish Cream Coffee every morning on campus (super sugary) now I've replaced it with naturally sweetened pomegranate green tea seems to work. :)

Im assuming drinking black coffee is out of the question? It could help, just buy a good flavor. I like Millstone Foglifter

thanks for the feedback, I think I will have to try truvia or stevia. I will also try cutting back each week.
