Olive oil

Being a past WW member, we were always told to have 2 teaspoons of Olive Oil during the day; keeping the machine well oiled was the reason. I'm wondering if there are a lot of MFP members that do this or not? It doesn't take up a lot of calories and I'm sure is beneficial. Comments?
Thanks. Laura

Like just eat it by the spoon or have it in things like salad dressing etc...?0

It help with your healthy cholestrol. It also helps with inflamation in the body. I think but not sure it has omega three fatty acids in it also. I heard it helps with preventing hunger pangs.0

I can't consume any dairy so get in some olive oil every day either with cooking or as a salad dresing with a bit of lemon juice and fresh dill. I agree, very beneficial!0

 i guess I have that much olive oil every day, but incidentally!
I sautee w/ olive oil or use it in salad dressing...i find my calorie allotment is low (i'm short and within 10# of my goal weight) so i find that any added fats actually take up a lot of the calories, but i don't worry about it too much. also, it's the 'good' kind of fat, etc...
just a side note - i did a little bit of research and i find that the recommended fiber intake for this site is rather low.
IMHO, you can keep the machine running smoothly  by eating a lot of produce and whole grains too!!! gives
me something to aim for - over 20g fiber per day.0 -
I actually put it in my oatmeal every morning, doesn't have any taste in there. Thanks for all the input.0

very low. I recently read to aim for the high 20's to low 30's and this is good for everyone.0 -
Go for extra virgin cold pressed, and I think you're fine! I've been told that you shouldn't use olive oil when cooking at high heats though...0
