Do you update this when you do it?0
-
usually just fridays for me, but i did go through a time were i was on the scale everday ..0
-
I do but won't post it in my FP data unless it went down :O)0

Yes, it keeps me on track and focused. I don't obsess over the scale's natural fluctuations though. If you will freak out if the scale is up a pound, then weighing in every day is not for you. If you can keep things in perspective with a "yeah, I had a lot of sodium yesterday from eating two frozen meals" you'll be ok weighing in everyday. I absolutely have to to keep the focus, but most do fine with every week.0

I do (when my scale is with me if I'm staying at my boyfriend's)... I log when it goes down.0
-
I do. But I only update it on Tuesdays because you fluctuate so much during the week.0
-
Yup. Every single day. I don't post all results on MFP and I don't use it as anything but a judgement of how what I ate yesterday is influencing me today. I also use it as a judgement of if I'm drinking enough water for running - i.e. I weigh before I run and then after I run, trying to keep my weight the same so I am not getting too dehydrated.0
-
Yes, but only record it once per week. Weigh at the same time, morning preferably when your weight is most accurate (during the day it fluctuates with water/food consumption).
Hope this helps!:happy:0 -
I weigh every day, keeps me on track, I post one to two times a week.0
-
I only update here on official weigh in day (Wednesday) sometimes on Saturday if it's been a consistent loss and I think I need the motivation going into the weekend!0

Sometimes I do. I only log my weight once a week, but sometimes I just can't resist stepping on the scale.0

Me too. I gain if I don't weigh in daily.0 -
I become horribly obsessed with it. I discovered a pattern that every time I start a diet, no matter what I do, the scale is up the 4th day, no matter what. That usually derails me and stops the downward trend. This time, I had my boyfriend hide the scale. I told him I don't want to see it except on Fridays, then he needs to hide it again. I'm hoping this will work for me this time.0

Yes, sometimes 3 x a day--but I only post here on Mondays. I don't let it encourage or discourage me though, I just like to make sure I'm not shocked on any given day ya know?0
-
yup every single day sometimes twice but only record it every other day0

I do just don't post on here but once a week.. I have to to keep me on track and motivated...0

YOU LOOK FABULOUS!!!!!!!0 -
I usually weigh morning and night, but only record Friday morning weigh-ins. A lot of MFPers only weigh once a week or even once a month. It's really up to you and whatever works for you!0

no, once a week saturday.0

Yes, even now, I weigh in every morning. This has helped me to stay on track and to also keep my weight gain in check throughout this pregnancy. I post whether it goes up or down.0
-
You really shouldn't. I know a lot of people that do not weight themselves at all, but I do 1 time a week to see how I am progressing, but everyday will make you crazy. I think 1 day a week makes me crazy. I think I am going to start doing it once every 2 weeks! Please don't weight yourself every week. You will drive yourself crazy!0

I weigh in every day once in the morning and then again at night. I only log my weight on Fridays. This is just so I know where i am as far as fluid retention. I have some health issues that i find doing this is helpful.0
-
Yes and I update everyday too. If you do it this way you have to be aware your weight may go up or down daily though.0
-
I do, just out of curiousity. If it's lower than my last check-in, I log it. I wouldn't recommend it if you're obsessing over it or if you're going to freak out over small gains. There are lots of fluctuations that occur during the week and even during the day, so you can expect to see highler numbers sometimes. I was 4 pounds heavier when I went to bed last night than I was when I got up this morning.0
-
I can't weigh every day because I get discouraged. I try to weigh once a week (when I feel lightest), sometimes twice if I get curious.
And people say to weigh 1st thing in the morning because that will be your lowest for the day... I've found this to be untrue for me. I weigh my lightest around 5 in the evening! Don't know why, but I don't question it...0 -

Me too....a lil obsessive but makes me feel better...unless of course, it is up!:(0 -
NO WAY! I am the type that needs to see results. If I got on the scale everyday I think I would stress out. I will admit I get on a couple (2-3) times a week at the same time of day (shortly after I wake in the morning). However, I only log my weight and measurements once a week. Wednesday mornings! And I log honestly. If I go up or down, I log it! I use it as motivation! right now, the measurments are winning! :flowerforyou:0

I have an official "weigh day" that I log, but I check every morning, just to see if anything I ate that I shouldnt has affected my weight.
For example, if I indulge in Chinese or go alot over my sodium, I seem to retain water for about 3 days, even if I increase my water intake.
I use it as a tool to make sure I stay on track. a few ounces to up to 1 1/2lb fluctuation for me seems to be about the norm. I only use my weight day weight to log0
