Guys, it really is not a grain. It's okay for Jews to eat during Passover, so therefore not a grain!
I think this issue needs a bit of clarification:
1) Quinoa is NOT a grain, it is a grass. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quinoa
2) Just thought I'd interject that ALL grains are indeed Kosher for Passover. It is not grain that is to be avoided. It is "leaven", such as yeast... Thus, "unleavened bread" such as matzo, made from wheat flour with no rising agent is Kosher for Passover.0 -
