Is there a good fix for when you have a chocolate brownie cakey ooey gooey craving?
I just bought the weight watchers brownies but they don't taste that great. I'm looking for something under 100 calories with as low fat as possible. Maybe even a recipe using splenda?
I live in a small town in Canada, so I'm limited to where I can purchase things.
Please give me a hand! All suggestions are appreciated!

Do you have Trader Joe's? They have a house brand of brownie mix that you make (one brownie at a time) in a coffee mug with some plain yogurt and it's AMAZING. It's about 120 calories. If you don't have a Trader's Joe's, research where you can buy "No Pudge" brownies... it's pretty much the same thing.0

If you have them there, the Fiber One chocolate brownies are delish! They are 90 calories and I put mine in the microwave to heat it up and then top it with fat free whipped cream (5 calories.) They are small and they are not the same as a fudge brownie covered with ice cream, but they are very tasty and don't carry all the guilt!0

I like to make chocolate black bean brownies. Sounds weird but tastes chocolatey and good and uses all whole foods. There are a lot of different recipes online (here's a bunch: http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=black+bean+brownies)--some use sugar and some use artificial sweeteners, but I like to just use a banana or two (per batch) as a naturally sweet substitute.
The ingredients I use are: canned black beans (make sure there aren't any seasonings besides salt!), canned or fresh sweet potatoes or canned pumpkin, 2 bananas, 1 tbs walnut oil (or 1 egg), vanilla, 1-2 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder, and 1 tbs cinnamon. Blend ingredients and bake or even microwave.
Sorry the recipe is not that precise--but you can always check around online for one that looks like it might work for you. I've also seen similar recipes for "white bean cake" but haven't tried them yet.
For me it's a satisfying way to have something sweet that has healthy ingredients and that I usually find more satisfying than packaged stuff out there.0 -
There is a mix called no pudge brownies. You just add fat free vanilla vocurt. 120 calories and zero fat. They are great for that chocolate craving.0

Weight Watchers has a recipe for Diet Coke Cake which is delicious.
1 box of chocolate cake mix (any brand, I prefer using a fudge chocolate mix)
1 can Diet Coke, Diet Cherry or Diet Rootbeer (or any generic Diet Cola)
Mix the 2 together and bake according to the directions on the cake mix. DO NOT ADD ANYTHING ELSE, just those 2 ingredients. You can make it as cupcakes or a cake itself. The calorie content is just what the cake mix says it is because diet soda has no calories. If you want to make it with a white cake you can, just use Diet Sprite or Diet 7-Up. Its quick, easy, low calorie and yummy!!0 -

Here are the Black Bean Brownies that I made last nite....cakey, gooey chocolately...YUM! The whole family loved them.
Ingredients:
1 box any commercial prepared brownie mix (I use the Low Fat mix) ---
1 15.5-ounce can black beans ----
Directions: 1. Open can of beans ---- 2. Drain the black beans using the lid while keeping them inside the can. Then fill the can (with drained beans inside it) back up with water. Then put the beans and water into the blender and blend to smooth out the beans. --- 3. Mix thoroughly with brownie mix. (No eggs, oil or other ingredients needed.) ---- 4. Place in greased baking pan. ---- 5. Bake according to package directions. Cool and serve.
The key is making sure the beans are completely pureed. I use my immersion blender. 135 calories for 1/20 (that's a pretty large brownie!) I ate mine with 1/2 c slow churned vanilla bean ice cream and some sliced strawberries!0 -
